Technical Support Partner

Remote with preferred base in the Mid-South region

Red Window Communications is seeking a partnership with an information-technology professional to provide an additional layer of technical support across our portfolio of managed websites. The structure of this role includes retainer, referral and project-based duties.

MONTHLY RETAINER

This partner will work as an extension of our team on an ongoing basis to ensure the security, performance, optimization and accessibility of all websites across our portfolio, primarily on the Squarespace platform. This responsibility includes:

  • Performing routine website health check-ups behind the scenes on a monthly or quarterly basis, to identify and resolve problems and/or areas of needed improvement. This includes independently resolving issues that require technical expertise, and/or providing clear and specific instructions for Red Window team members to implement.

  • Troubleshooting any issues related to domains and DNS settings, with on-call accessibility and swift responsiveness to resolve any situation where a client website is compromised or offline.

  • Providing on-call support for the team to talk through issues we encounter related to your area of expertise.

PROJECT-BASED CAPABILITIES

This partner will be our go-to contract vendor for the IT-related elements that fall within our scope of work for clients, most often as part of website development. We will work with you to include an appropriate scope and rate for your role within our broader proposals for clients. These projects can include:

  • Facilitating website integrations with third-party platforms, primarily on the Squarespace platform.

  • Managing the reclaiming and/or transfer of domains for clients who lack ownership or access for the domains that belong to them.

REFERRAL CAPABILITIES

Additionally, this partner will be our go-to referral for clients who need IT services which are related to but distinct from our primary focus areas. This partner will establish separate agreements and payment arrangements with clients, with your own scope-based or hourly rates, for the following services:

  • Email accounts: The setting up of email accounts (e.g. Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) related to the domains we are working with for branding and website builds. This includes being available to the client for any troubleshooting related to email accounts in the future, as a separate relationship with that client that does not involve Red Window.

  • Wordpress websites: Design, setup and maintenance of websites built on the Wordpress platform. This includes managing all aspects of hosting, security, site performance, software updates and technical troubleshooting. This will be a separate relationship with the client, parallel to Red Window’s partnership for content and strategy services.

This partnership includes guest access to Red Window’s project management system, for seamless communication with the Red Window team and documentation of these critical elements of client programs.
